Italy

Hey everybody. So recently I took a long trip to Italy and I did a loooot of sketching. This if a fairly large post but I hope you all enjoy. I apologize for some shitty looking scans but the pad was sort of wrinkled by time I returned home. These are a select few that I decided were worth posting. Almost all of them are from life, except for some of the goofy characters.... the sketchbook I used was given to me by friends of mine from Boston as a parting gift for my trip. THANKS RANDY AND ANDY!

Baseball Graphic

About 2 months ago I left for Italy and just around the same time the new HOPPS deck I designed was released so I wasn't able to post anything but here it is....

This one took me quite a long time. About 25 hours in the end I'd say. Tons of photo reference, a lot of drawing. When I get a pic of the actual board I'll post it. I had to draw extensions (the guy puking and a few other people) because the board would get cropped awkwardly without them, that's why the crowd fades into nothing on the corners. Go out an buy em' check em out on the site hoppskateboards.com buy some stuff! Thanks again to Jerry Fowler and Jahmal Williams.

Still lifes/Doodles

I've been out of Boston for about 3 weeks now and I'm living out in the country with my dad, sometimes my mom. Working on some projects right now involving tigers and girls, but these are just some doodles and still lifes I did last night over the course of a few hours of drawing on and off.....

New Stuff

Something I did for a very close friend of mine for his birthday, and then 2 drawings for the jobs that I will be quitting this coming Saturday as gifts to show my appreciation for the time I've spent with them. I pretty much straight copied Schiele for the drink/hands one..... love that guy.

New stuff, Busy boy

Hey all,
Been working on a good amount of stuff lately. I'm not allowed to show something I've been working on a lot till it makes a public release, but here are some drawings that I hope to have in a show at Orchard, if not some other show. They're 5x5, mad small, super fun to do. Both done from photographs. Lemme know what you think!

Captain America vs. Hitler

Space 242 has a show this month called Good vs. Evil. I had been working on this Cap. America Piece for a while and sort of abandoned it until I saw the call for artists for this show. It kind of fit the theme perfectly. I didn't finish the background as much as I would have liked, but it's already been accepted as is so I'm going to leave it in case that's something they like about it heh.

Oyster Ts

This is something I forgot to post, but definitely should have... I also designed T shirts for the event which most of the staff over at B&G use as their uniform. Here's the design and my friend Katherine sporting one of the Ts. Thanks to emulsion apparel for getting them printed. emulsionapparel.com

B&G Oyster Invitational

Hey there, B&G Oysters in the South End of Boston recently hired me to do posters for their 2nd annual Oyster Invitational. They hooked me up with 14 bottles of wine, and I got to go to the event for free, it was a blast! Thanks B&G!

New Mini Business Cards

I'm currently working on posters for an event that B&G Oysters of Boston's south end is having on May 2nd, I'll post the work as soon as their all done. Anyway, as part of my payment, I am allowed to attend this event along with a friend for free and I thought it would be a really good idea to have business cards with me. Check em out! Shouts out to Jahmal Williams of Jerry Fowler of Hopps skateboards!

Hopps

So about 2 months ago, Jahmal Williams from Hopps skateboards emailed me on facebook about doing a skateboard deck for them. Jerry Fowler is the rider and he came up with the whole school bus concept and all I had to do was illustrate it. SUPER fun project, kind of a dream job. Thanks again Hopps. I wasn't allowed to post anything until the board was released, and it is now available at your local mission hill Orchard. Check out Hopps's site http://www.store.hoppsskateboarding.com/ and Orchard, http://www.orchardshop.com/ Support your local shop/skate company/artist by buying the board!!!! Thanks again to Jerry and Jahmal
