So next month there's a collaborative show put together by The Black Artists Union being held at MassArt. I'm doing a project with Les Kostinas, in case you haven't seen his stuff, check it out at http://leskostinas.blogspot.com/ He's awesome. I came up with this idea of a basketball court scene and did the drawing, and Les will be painting it. I think it's gonna look great....... anyway here are the sketch's and the image recently put on the canvas to be painted.

Old paintings, new pictures, more little drawings

Here are two paintings I did at my last semester at MassArt in George Nick's class, I've never had good pics of them until now. I recommend taking his painting from observation class to anyone who's interested, he's honestly one the best teachers I've ever had. Both of the paintings were assignments where we had to break down what we saw into simple flat shapes. One is a self portrait and one is a view of Mission Hill from the Tower Building. Above are 3 more small drawings that I did over the passed few days in that same sketchbook. I may actually follow through with filling it with little life drawings. I feel like these ones are a little less of a success than the others but they're good practice. I didn't get to finish the top one and probably won't be able to because I wasn't at home at that time..........TAKE A LOOK!
